Competition shooting has become a big part of my life. I enjoy the process of training, competing, learning about firearms and equipment, and finding small ways to become a better shooter every time I step onto a stage.
I started practical shooting in 2023 and quickly became interested in more than just shooting matches. I wanted to understand the equipment, the rules, the mechanics, and the details behind the sport.
My interest in firearms started beyond competition. I previously worked at a gun store, where I spent a lot of time around different firearms, accessories, parts, and customers with different needs. That experience gave me exposure to many firearm platforms and helped me learn more about how different guns are designed, used, and set up.
I no longer work at a gun store, but I still spend a lot of my free time learning about firearms, new products, industry developments, and gun news. I regularly watch firearm related YouTube content and keep up with new guns, parts, optics, and equipment as they come out.
Since starting competition shooting, I have continued competing, training, working matches, experimenting with different equipment, and learning from the people around me. I currently compete at USPSA Carry Optics A Class and also shoot Open.
Some days are better than others, but that is one of the things I enjoy most about competition shooting. There is always something to work on and always something new to learn.
The goal is simple. Keep learning, keep improving, and enjoy the process.
My experience is not limited to one gun, one brand, or one competition division. Over the years, I have spent time around many different firearm platforms through competition shooting, armorer training, personal use, and my previous work at a gun store.
I enjoy learning how different platforms work, how their controls and internal systems differ, and how equipment choices change the way a gun feels and performs.
I am especially familiar with the Glock platform, but I enjoy learning about firearms across the industry.
For competition, I currently spend most of my time with two very different platforms.
Carry Optics
The Glock platform is where I have the most technical experience. As a Glock Certified Armorer, I have extensive experience with all Glock parts and enjoy understanding how different setups affect reliability, feel, and performance.

My MPA DS9 Open is a fully race tuned Open gun running 9 Major and gives me a very different competition experience from the Glock platform.

I enjoy trying different firearms, optics, triggers, recoil systems, accessories, and other equipment, but equipment is still only part of the equation.
Good gear can make a difference, but training, consistency, stage planning, movement, and execution matter more.
I like understanding what equipment changes actually do instead of changing parts simply because something is popular.
I enjoy trying different firearms and equipment and comparing how they feel and perform in actual use. My opinions are based on my own experience, my setups, and what works for me as a shooter.
Different equipment works for different shooters. I care more about understanding what a product does than calling something the best.
My firearms experience extends beyond my current competition guns. Through personal use, competition, armorer training, and my previous work at a gun store, I have spent time learning about many different firearm platforms and components.
I still actively follow new firearms, parts, optics, accessories, and industry developments to keep learning even when I am not at the range.
Beyond optics, I have spent time experimenting with triggers, recoil systems, springs, controls, and other competition related components.
For Glock parts in particular, my armorer background gives me a deeper understanding of how the individual components work together.

Certified in range safety procedures and range operations.
I started competing in practical shooting and quickly became interested in both the shooting and technical sides of the sport.
Becoming an RO gave me a different perspective on stages, rules, safety, and match operations.
Advancing to CRO gave me more responsibility and a deeper understanding of USPSA match operations. Armorer training strengthened the technical side of my experience with the Glock platform.
